What To Expect After Your Procedure:

  • You may experience minimal to moderate cramping for a day or two. Advil, Nuprin, or Tylenol should help.
  • If you have received a prescription for Percocet, make sure to take it as directed.
  • Complete all your antibiotics to minimize chance of infection.
  • Vaginal bleeding or discharge may last for a few weeks.
  • Sex is okay when all spotting has stopped: usually within the month.
  • Showers or baths are fine.

Call the doctor's office promptly if you experience:

  • Severe cramping or severe abdominal pain.
  • Fever (over 100 degrees F).
  • Bleeding heavier than a period.
  • Passing large clots the size of a golf ball.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Severe nausea and vomiting.
  • Rash or itching.
  • Shortness of breath.

You will need to be seen for follow up in 2-3 weeks. We will check to make sure you are fine and your body has returned to its normal state.
